My name is Jan, I'm a Dutch/British composer, guitarist and educator. I started playing the guitar at age 8,
I fell in love with music and haven’t stopped since. I have a Master’s Degree from the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague and am coming to the end of a PhD at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
I have a keen interest in teaching, specifically helping young people develop practical skills in order to develop their artistic goals. I have taught guitar, composition, music theory and music production since 2010. I have a thorough knowledge of classical, jazz and pop guitar at both beginners and higher levels. I have given guitar lessons to students of all ages, both privately and at music schools.
Jimena Maldonado

My name is Jimena Maldonado. I am a composer, researcher and educator from Mexico City. I started playing piano at the age of 10 and music has been an essential part of my life ever since. I studied Composition and Music Theory as well as photography in Mexico City before moving to The Netherlands, where I got my Masters Degree in Composition at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. I also hold a PhD in Composition from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. I currently work as a Lecturer at the Prins Claus Conservatoire in Groningen. I have been teaching piano for over 10 years to students from all backgrounds, ages and interests.
